PERSONAL LOGSGRAVEYARD SHIFT
3/8/20264 min read

It's almost 5 a.m. and these days were very productive towards releasing Vigilum.
I've been going through other stuff such as some University finals pending , both as student and as teacher. I used to teach there, but I stopped not long ago. It took way too much time from me and the pay was terrible.
I chose to work on myself instead, hopefully one day I'll start my own courses. If you want to hear more of my story, you should check the About me page, to learn a bit more about general life stuff.
I'm focusing the topic of this log strictly to what's in my mind:
It's been a long time, and I didn't really have a directive, I was lost. It's about time to take a risk, there will only be room to improve. So, I'm changing the way I share news with the world, as well as how I work with my projects. It's hard to keep up with so many things going, but (hopefully) I'll manage.
Now, I'm working on the website, but I was working on Vigilum. The idea is to release it as soon as possible. Right now, I'm dealing with finals and my thesis; as well as my job, my partner, family and friends, my cats and my home.
The most annoying, my studies definitely. It's been years since I've studied, I feel kind of old by saying this but I'm tired of that... still hanging on though. I'm barely working on my thesis, that will be taken care of in the month of April.
Work is ok for now, I'm taking my time to do my job (09-17hs), and doing this on my free time during late night hours like this one, weekends or nights deprived of any sleep at all.
Life, right?
Welcome to the first personal log, thank you for caring! I wanted to share this moment with whoever is reading this. I
Vigilum
The truth is that Vigilum is just a testing ground Cosmic Framework, as said on this post. If everything goes according to plan, I'll have a much easier time developing games in the future, being able to development times and pouring that energy into designing the games.
I have a huge Universe (Lore) in mind which I started working on when I started all of this, back in 2012. There are a lot of Tales to tell, for now, Vigilum is the priority. Once I finish the game, I want to create the framework's Documentation to better understand what was worked on, it will be like a public changelog.
Once Vigilum is ready, I'll be working on fixes, updates and patches while listening to feedback, I will give the game two QoL updates throughout six months to a year. After that year, a final version is released.
Vigilum
0.9b - beta
1.0f - version 1, base game.
1.1f - The End, adds a lore-accurate ending. Here, I'll connect the game with my story. I have it already written, planned, but I need to code it of course. I'll have that ready next, but I'll wait for feedback to balance the game's mechanics.
1.2f - The Days That Come After, this expansion adds a new post-end content. It's basically a survival game where you grow food, eat, sleep, drink. Of course, this is a testing ground for systems that will be used in future games, transforming that into a peaceful chill experience of medieval life
After that last update, Vigilum will have no new content. I might give it support through balance patches if people are interested.
the future
After Vigilum is first released, I'll use the Cosmic Framework in two games I'll be working simultaneously:
Darkness, a narrative-driven experience. Another testing ground for VFX, SFX, Lightning, Post-Processing, Narration, Events and fancy animations.
Deep Space: Breach, made by Coffee Cat Studios, a VR sci-fi story-driven survival-"horror" game. Future porting of the game to PC will be consider later after being released.
more in mind...?
Of course! I have more ideas planned. These are my future 2026-2027 ideas to be developed 100% confirmed:
Inheritance, made by Coffee Cat Studios, a survival-horror game, time-based in 2020, in Argentina during the Lockdown. Unveil the hidden story of Ana Esther.
Oxygen, a short 2D survival-horror game.
These other titles are thought ideas but no clear date on when I'll take them.
In Memoriam: passion horror project with a location based on the Cementerio de la Recoleta.
Liminal - Underground: debut of the Procedural module, I like to introduce Lore aspects to the game, major Lore aspects
Liminal - Metro: another project using the Procedural module.
Liminal - Rooms: yes, another game that belongs to the Liminal saga.
I'll explain what Liminal and other sagas are one the time is right. Everything has a meaning; everything contributes to the story behind all these titles.
what about making this full time?
I wish. Between my work and life's responsibilities, it's hard to keep up, but I won't give up. I want to play my own games, I have this feeling I had when I was 13, I started creating games I wanted to play. If this spark creates something the world welcomes and supports my work, I'll gladly dedicate the most of my time to this adventure.
Let's hope for the best.
